Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers seeks an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations across its travel plazas. You will lead teams, deliver top-notch customer service, and uphold brand standards while driving efficiency and performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, constraint management, and the ability to coach staff in a fast-paced quick-service environment. A strong customer-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of non-management associates and shifts supervisors; communicate objectives and goals.
• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, and foster teamwork.
• Step in when the General Manager is absent; manage store operations.
• Motivate staff and maintain high morale; enforce brand standards and policies.
• Ensure cash handling, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety practices.
