Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations at our travel plaza locations. This entry-level management track offers learning opportunities in supervision, decision-making, and customer service excellence.

You will lead a team, coach shift supervisors, enforce policies, and ensure store performance, brand standards, and guest satisfaction while managing cash and inventories.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in quick-service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Strong verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Ability to lift or push objects weighing over 30 lbs.
• Basic food safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain brand standards and procedures to maximize brand, landlord, and labor relations.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness, appearance, and brand standards.
• Accurately manage cash and process daily reports as directed.
• Address customer needs, resolve issues, and build positive, long-term relationships.
• Ensure inventory data is accurate through spot counts and checks.
