Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a T&D Estimator II to lead cost estimation for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. The role focuses on collecting cost data, evaluating bid specs, and ensuring competitive bids.

The candidate will manage bidding activities, mentor other estimators, and work across office or field locations. A minimum of five years in estimating and related degrees or experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings for cost estimation.
• Ability to develop detailed estimates with accuracy and efficiency.
• Proficient in MS Office and bid administration processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Lead bid teams and coordinate bidding activities.
• Develop and review project histories to estimate man-hours and costs.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as required.
• Ensure completion of proposals with clear cost documentation and pricing.
