Job summary

The L.E. Myers Co. is seeking a T&D Estimator I to prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.

You will analyze drawings, gather vendor pricing, and develop bids that balance competitiveness with profitability. Travel for field visits and pre-bid meetings may be required. This role supports project teams across electrical construction, requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience or relevant construction experience.
• Transmission, distribution or substation experience preferred.
• Proficiency in analyzing construction and electrical drawings to accurately formulate an estimate.

Responsibilities

• Complete cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complex estimates with minor errors/omissions.
• Perform material takeoffs and solicit vendor pricing.
• Prepare billing per customer requirements and manage change orders.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and field walks.
• Travel for field activities as needed.
