Job summary

High Country Line Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced T&D Estimator I to prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

The role supports profitability and growth through accurate estimating, bid preparation, and vendor coordination. The position requires analyzing electrical drawings, leveraging bidding history, and generating deliverables within defined deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience or relevant construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar stated as preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction and estimating processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complex estimates with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Use historical data to create production assumptions and man-hour estimates.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors for pricing and bid packages (RFQ/RFP).
• Prepare billing per customer requirements and manage change orders.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and assist in bid submissions.
