Job summary

The Lead Surveyor provides support to the construction team, reporting directly to the Infrastructure Area Field Engineer. They supervise surveying activities, use design drawings to determine locations, and support field verification of materials on a long-term assignment to the Sabine Pass, LA site.

The role begins in a Houston, TX home office before mobilizing to the project site and coordinating with Field Engineering and Superintendents to ensure accurate layout and data capture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the oversight of all survey operations.
• Ensure the survey team's compliance with safety, quality and environmental programs.
• Accurate layout of construction work and recording field data.
• Provide survey support to Field Engineering and Field Supervision.
• Establish and maintain the project's survey control network.
• Verify subcontract survey control points and work.
• Prepare survey CAD drawings and Digital Terrain Models (DTMs).
• Review Survey Control field work and perform network least squares adjustments.
