Job summary

Bechtel invites a Field Engineer to support the SPL5 expansion project across Cameron Parish, LA and Houston, TX. The role provides technical assistance and field supervision coordination for construction activities across disciplines.

You may start in Houston to support preconstruction planning and then relocate to Sabine Pass, LA for long-term field work. A BS degree in engineering or related discipline with 2–5 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering/CMT or related discipline from an accredited university.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant work experience (or 6–9 years without degree).
Experience in civil engineering and construction methods.

Responsibilities

Inspect installations and prepare documentation for discipline systems.
Assist field supervision with manpower, tools, equipment, and material planning.
Develop installation work packages in support of the construction schedule.
Prepare short- and long-term schedules and coordinate with superintendents and other discipline field engineers.
Execute field material takeoffs from issued-for-construction drawings.
Support quantity tracking and weekly reporting to Project Controls.
