Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an Infrastructure Area Superintendent for the SPL5 Project. The candidate may start in the Houston, TX home office to support preconstruction planning, then relocate to the Sabine Pass, LA project site for a long-term assignment.

You will supervise crafts across disciplines, ensure compliance with specifications, schedules and budget, and coordinate with foremen to optimize field execution and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; 10–12+ years of relevant experience, or 15+ years of experience without a degree.
• Minimum of 9 years’ experience in field supervision on direct hire work.
• Extensive experience in civil construction of large projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with discipline Superintendents, General Foreman, and Foreman to determine equipment requirements.
• Schedule work, supervise in-process activities, and review completed work.
• Prepare equipment maintenance schedules.
• Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables.
• Supervise subordinate personnel and craft in equipment support activities.
• Prepare craft requisitions and forecasts, job manpower forecasts and expenditure forecast.
• Develop and work plans and activities.
• Ensure operations adhere to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget.
• Coordinate field activities with other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal safety codes.
