Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an Infrastructure Area Superintendent for the SPL5 project, located on the Sabine Pass LNG facility in Cameron Parish, LA, with initial work from a Houston home office before relocation to the field.

The role leads craft operations, supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project specs, schedule, and budget, with a focus on safety and quality across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university (or international equivalent).
• Minimum 9 years' experience in field supervision on direct hire work.
• Extensive experience in civil construction of large projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with discipline Superintendents, General Foreman and Foreman to determine equipment requirements.
• Schedule work to be performed, supervise in-process activities, and review work when accomplished.
• Prepare equipment maintenance schedules.
• Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables.
• Supervise and direct subordinate personnel and craft in equipment support activities within various disciplines.
• Prepare craft requisitions and forecasts, job manpower forecasts and expenditure forecast.
• Develop and work plans and activities.
• Implement procedures to ensure construction operations adhere to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget.
• Coordinate field activities with other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal safety codes, requirements, and standards in the assigned area.
