Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Surveyor for the SPL5 project, supporting the Infrastructure GBU. The role will oversee survey operations, coordinate with Field Engineering and Superintendents, and manage data, DTMs, and survey control.

The position will involve initial home-office work in Houston, TX, with long-term on-site assignment to Sabine Pass, LA. UAV/drones, 3D laser scanning, and safety compliance are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Technical degree or 15 years' experience with supervisory experience.
• 9+ years of experience in heavy construction/industrial surveying.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead survey operations and provide technical direction.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental programs.
• Maintain survey control network and record field data.
• Prepare survey CAD drawings and DTMs; volume computations.
• Oversee UAV program and 3D laser scanning operations.
• Support field engineering and supervision with survey data.
