Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Field Engineer (Piling) to provide technical assistance and direction for piling operations on the SPL5 project. The role supports Bechtel and subcontractor field supervision with installation planning, material takeoffs, and documentation.

The candidate may begin in the Houston, TX home office to support preconstruction planning and will eventually relocate to the Sabine Pass, LA project site for long-term field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or 6–9 years without a degree.
• Experience implementing Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures.
• Experience with Bechtel BSAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance, direction, and support to field supervision for piling operations.
• Develop installation work packages and short/long-term schedules.
• Prepare field material requisitions and track purchase orders.
• Ensure installations comply with latest design drawings, specs, standards and codes.
• Complete and verify quality documentation and as-built records.
