Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a surgical technologist to support both direct and indirect patient care. You will assist surgeons, prepare instruments, scrub on cases, mentor teammates, and help manage intra-op events while maintaining patient safety.

The role emphasizes collaboration, dependability, and dedicated mentorship within a busy operating room environment at our Fort Worth area facility.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Associate’s degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• New grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Scrub and assist during cases; run mayo on appropriate cases.
• Precept and mentor RNs and other technologists as needed.
• Plan for intra-op events and respond to case changes promptly.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with the team.
• Assist with case turnover and teach others in the unit.
