Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide direct and indirect surgical support. The role includes assisting surgeons, preparing sterile fields, training new technologists and students, and serving as a resource within the team.

BLS within 30 days and an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology are required. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion: Surgical Technology
• Associate's Degree: Surgical Technology

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures ensuring timely, accurate setup.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to patient arrival.
• Ensure instruments, equipment, and sutures are complete and functional.
• Assist surgeon as a scrub tech and run mayo/h back table as needed.
• Precept and mentor staff and students in planning surgical events.
• Adapt technique to surgeon preferences and case requirements.
