Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA) is required.
• Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology required.
• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology required.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for surgeon-specific operative procedures that are timely and efficient.
• Instruments, equipment and suture are appropriate, complete and functional.
• Sets up sterile field and is scrubbed prior to patient entering the room.
• Sets up case so others can step into an organized back table and mayo.
• Precepts surgical techs and RNs to prepare for surgeon-specific procedures.
• Scrubs on simple to complex procedures for a variety of specialties.
• Be available to be assigned on-call hours outside schedule work-hours, including after-hours, weekend and holidays.
