Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect care in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, and train other technologists and students. The role requires readiness for on-call shifts and collaboration with the surgical team.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology or a Certificate of Completion, and BLS certification within 30 days. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Associates degree or higher in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
• Set up sterile field and be scrubbed prior to patient entry.
• Mentor and train other technologists and students.
• Assist surgeon and perform operative/invasive procedures.
• Run mayo and prep instruments as needed.
• Anticipate intra-op needs and respond to case changes.
