Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to provide direct and indirect care in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, prepare patients and equipment, and act as a resource for the team.

The role requires scrubbing for diverse cases and mentoring others as needed. Highlights include sign-on bonus and relocation bonus, with opportunities to train students and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Certificate of Completion: Surgical Technology.
• Associate's Degree: Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon specific operative/invasive procedures that’s timely, accurate, effective and efficient.
• Set up sterile field and scrubbed prior to patient entering the room.
• Teach RNs to scrub on a variety of cases and assist in intra-op events.
• Prepare for case sequencing and ensure necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
