Job summary

The candidate will scrub, set up sterile fields, and support intra-operative activities across multiple specialties. The department emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and efficiency, with on-call duties including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education: Certificate of Completion: Surgical Technology; Associate's Degree: Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures
• Ensure instruments, equipment, and sutures are complete and functional
• Set up sterile field and scrub before the patient enters the room
• Assist in case setup to keep back table organized
• Precept surgical techs and RNs to prepare for procedures
• Contribute to intra-op planning and adapt to case needs
• Teach RNs to scrub on a variety of cases
• Be available for on-call hours including after-hours, weekends, and holidays
