Job summary

New England Controls Inc. (NECI) is seeking a Supervising Application Engineer to support customer process control needs by pursuing sales opportunities and partnering with Account Managers to secure product orders.

The role emphasizes high levels of customer service and Think Customer principles. The position focuses on growing NECI's valve automation business, proposing and pricing valve solutions, and delivering timely, quality service to our customer base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical)
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles and a passion for people engagement

Responsibilities

• Propose and sell customer solutions by listening to and evaluating customer requirements and presenting innovative control solutions according to standards
• Grow NECI's valve automation business to meet annual sales goals in the territory by promoting NECI’s reputation as a total valve supplier
• Achieve sales results for new product initiatives by participating in product launches and identifying customer needs
• Provide support & technical services to customers by assisting with start-up, checkout, calibration, and resolving product/service issues
• Ensure on-time delivery by coordinating with factories and suppliers, negotiating due dates, and expediting when needed
• Identify new sales opportunities and support Account Managers’ plans for growth and penetration
• Participate in quality management, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
