Job summary

New England Controls Inc in Town of Clifton Park, NY is seeking an Application Engineer to own the full lifecycle of valve solutions—from initial conversations to final delivery. This role blends technical problem solving, customer engagement, and commercial results.

You will work closely with Account Managers and Order Management, bringing valve expertise to customer conversations and ensuring accurate, timely delivery while supporting start-up, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 0–5+ years of experience with valves, valve automation, or related industrial tech.
• Hands-on familiarity with control, isolation, or safety relief valves.
• Experience in a customer-facing role solving technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Propose and sell valve solutions by listening to customer requirements and recommending configuration and application approach.
• Grow valve automation business across ball, butterfly valves and complete solutions.
• Hit sales goals for new product initiatives through customer engagement and product launches.
• Provide technical support from start-up to troubleshooting and resolution.
• Coordinate on-time delivery by assessing needs and working with suppliers.
• Capture opportunities and maintain CRM data for customers and deals.
• Collaborate with Account Managers on growth strategies and territory plans.
• Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement.
• Attend factory trainings and stay updated on offerings.
• Keep team informed of market conditions and competitors.
