Zusammenfassung

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Lead Substation Engineer to direct engineering teams on HV/EHV substation modifications and upgrades. You will craft relaying philosophies, select equipment, and oversee protection/control layouts while coordinating with clients and vendors for timely, compliant designs.

The role supports hybrid work with office presence three days per week and relocation potential where applicable. Relevant experience and PE licensure are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• 10+ years experience in protection/control/telecommunications for high voltage substations.
• PE license.
• Experience liaising with clients and leading engineering teams.
• Experience with relay calculations documentation.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI.
• Experience with protective relay equipment (SEL/ABB/GE/Areva/Basler).

Aufgaben

• Lead an engineering and design team on substation mods and upgrades.
• Prepare relaying philosophies and select equipment.
• Guide junior and senior engineers in protection and controls design.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure timely design.
• Review existing facilities for upgrades and present findings.
• Develop career through Communities of Practice and mentoring.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and field verification.
