Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team in Las Vegas, NV.

You will design foundations and ancillary structures for utility‑scale wind, solar, transmission lines and substations, and prepare design reports and plans. Candidates should have a ABET‑accredited civil/structural engineering degree, EIT/FE or PE, and a minimum of two years of structural experience, with knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• EIT/FE or PE required, SE registration a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of structural engineering work experience.
• Familiar with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318.
• Knowledge of foundations, steel members, and connection design.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to use structural software like Mathcad/STAAD/RISA.
• Strong communication and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility scale wind, solar, transmission line, and substation projects.
• Prepares or directs the structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
• Review and approves project submittals, RFIs and supports field activities during construction.
• Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
• Day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
