Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team in the Denver area. The role focuses on structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility-scale wind and solar projects.

Candidate should have ABET-accredited degree, 2+ years of experience, and knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318. EIT/FE or PE is required, SE is a plus. Travel is minimal as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• EIT/FE or PE required; S.E. registration a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of structural engineering work experience.
• Familiar with applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318).
• Knowledge of foundations, including spread footings, slab-on-grade, piles and caissons; connection and anchorage design.

Responsibilities

• Designs structural foundations and ancillary structures for wind, solar, transmission line, and substation projects.
• Prepares or directs structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
• Reviews submittals, RFIs, and supports field activities during construction.
• Provides professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
• Supports Project Managers with day-to-day technical input.
