Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team in Las Vegas.

You will design foundations and ancillary structures for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission lines, and substations, and support submittals, RFIs, and field activities. The role requires at least 2 years of structural engineering experience, a civil/structural ABET degree, and EIT/FE or PE certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• EIT/FE or PE required, S.E. registration a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of structural engineering work experience required.
• Familiar with applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318).
• Knowledge of shallow and deep foundations, including spread footings, slab-on-grade, piles and concrete caissons.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility scale wind, solar, transmission line, and substation projects.
• Prepares or directs the structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
• Review and approves project submittals, RFIs and supports field activities during construction.
• Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
• Day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
