Job summary
Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team. This role focuses on structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility-scale wind, solar, and substations, with collaboration across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate has ABET degree, EIT/FE or PE, at least 2 years of experience, and strong knowledge of codes. You will produce design reports, support field activities, and participate in a dynamic engineering
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree required.
- EIT/FE or PE certification required; SE registration a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.
- Familiar with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318.
- Knowledge of foundations, connections, and steel member design.
- Proficient with structural software and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Design foundations and ancillary structures for wind, solar, transmission, and substation projects.
- Prepare structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
- Review submittals, RFIs and support field activities during construction.
- Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day engineering input.
