Job summary

Centrus Energy is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications at ACP in Piketon, Ohio. You will bridge design concepts and field execution, ensuring structural systems meet safety and regulatory standards from design to turnover.

The role requires collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams, field walkdowns, RFI/RFC resolution, and procurement support for subcontracted work.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in structural design, analysis, and field support, preferably in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of AISC and ACI seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications, including static/dynamic loads, wind, seismic, and thermal effects.
• Develop and review design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams to integrate loads and layouts.
• Support field execution with walkdowns, RFI/RFC resolution, and as-built updates.
• Prepare procurement packages for subcontracted fabrication and installation.
