Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio seeks a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead engineering development, analysis, and field execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

You will bridge design concepts and field work, ensure foundations, structural steel, and equipment supports meet quality and regulatory standards, and collaborate across disciplines from design through turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience with structural design, analysis, and field support in regulated/industrial/nuclear environments.
• Strong working knowledge of AISC, ACI, and applicable seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design for site modifications and perform complex static/dynamic analyses.
• Develop, review, and redline design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams for loads, penetrations, and layouts.
• Support construction through field walkdowns, RFI/RFC resolution, and as-built updates.
• Develop procurement packages for subcontracted fabrication and installation.
