Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead the engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

You will bridge design concepts and field execution, ensuring structural systems meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards from design through turnover. A Q security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years experience with structural design, analysis and field support in regulated/industrial/nuclear environments.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI and seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications.
• Develop, review, and redline design packages for foundations, steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams for loads, penetrations, and layouts.
• Support construction with field walkdowns, RFI/RFC resolution, and as-built updates.
• Prepare detailed, code-compliant procurement packages for fabrication and installation.
