Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio, seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

The role demands a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited), 5+ years in structural design/field support, and strong knowledge of AISC/ACI codes with the ability to obtain a Q security clearance. Collaborative, hands-on leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years of structural design, analysis, and field support experience.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications, including static and dynamic loads.
• Develop and review design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams to integrate loads and layouts.
• Support field activities, RFI/RFC processes, and as-built updates with strong configuration control.
• Prepare procurement packages (ROMs, SOWs) for fabrication and installation.
