Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio seeks a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead the development, analysis, and field execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities include designing foundations and structural steel, coordinating with mechanical/electrical teams, and supporting construction through field activities and procurement packages. A BS in Civil/Structural Eng and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years in structural design, analysis, and field support, preferably in regulated industrial or nuclear settings.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and seismic/building codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications, addressing static and dynamic loads.
• Develop and review design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams to integrate loads and layouts.
• Support construction with field walkdowns, RFIs/RFCs, and as-built updates.
• Prepare procurement packages (ROMs, SOWs) for fabrication and installation.
