Centrus Energy in Piketon, Ohio seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to lead engineering development, analysis, and execution of facility modifications in a safety-critical environment. You will ensure all foundations, structural steel, and equipment supports meet quality and regulatory standards from design to turnover.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5+ years in structural design and field support, and the ability to obtain a Q level security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of structural design, analysis, and field support experience, preferably in regulated industrial or nuclear settings.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and building codes relevant to seismic design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural design and analysis for site modifications, evaluating static and dynamic loads (wind, seismic, vibration, thermal).
• Develop, review, and redline design packages for foundations, structural steel, and equipment anchorage.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and I&C teams to integrate loads, penetrations, and layouts.
• Support construction through field walkdowns, RFI/RFC resolution, and as-built updates with strong configuration control.
• Prepare procurement packages (ROMs, SOWs) for subcontracted fabrication and installation.
