Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to lead and contribute to highway, railway, and other structural bridge projects. You will perform advanced analyses, mentor staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on national programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, 5+ years of experience, PE licensure, and SE eligibility. Master’s and NBIS team leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• PE registration required; SE registration preferred or ability to obtain.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• IDOT NBIS Team Leader experience preferred.
• DOT bridge design practice experience (IDOT, TxDOT, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in leading bridge projects in the Infrastructure Market.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and use design software.
• Collaborate with senior staff and multi-disciplinary teams on national projects.
• Prepare specifications, details, and construction plans.
• Manage project budgets and mentor staff.
• Prepare calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Support project pursuits and proposal development.
• Develop project scopes and fee proposals.
