Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a seasoned Structural Bridge Engineer in the United States, with 5+ years of experience and PE/SE credentials.

This role focuses on leading highway and railway bridge projects, performing advanced structural analyses, and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams on national projects. You will develop construction plans, manage budgets, mentor staff, and contribute to proposals and scopes of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• Structural Engineer (SE) registration or ability to obtain one required; SE registration preferred.
• Experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, FDOT, and TxDOT (preferred).
• Project experience with DOT bridge design practices and standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead or assist in leading bridge projects within Hanson’s Infrastructure Market, including highway and railway bridges, and potentially other structural projects across markets.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and utilize software tools for analysis and design.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and multidisciplinary teams on national projects.
• Conduct structural analysis and design, prepare specifications, details, and construction plans.
• Assign duties, manage project budgets, and mentor staff and technicians.
• Prepare and review calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Support project pursuits and proposal development.
• Assist in developing project scopes and fee proposals.
• Other duties as assigned.
