Hanson Professional Services, Inc. in Illinois seeks a seasoned Structural Bridge Engineer to lead highway and railway bridge projects within our Infrastructure Market. You will perform advanced calculations, run analysis software, and collaborate with senior engineers on national initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Eng with structural coursework
• 5+ years of experience
• MS in Structural Eng (preferred)
• PE licensure required
• SE registration or ability to obtain (preferred)
• IDOT NBIS Team Leader approved (preferred)
• DOT bridge design experience
• IDOT/ Tollway/ FDOT/ TxDOT projects (preferred)
• Experience with complex bridge types
• Technical societies participation
• Project staff management
• General Contractor license a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist bridge projects within Infrastructure Market
• Perform complex engineering calculations and use analysis/design software
• Collaborate with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams on national projects
• Conduct structural analysis and prepare specs, details, and construction plans
• Assign duties, manage budgets, and mentor entry- and mid-level staff and technicians
• Prepare and review calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates
• Support project pursuits and proposal development
• Assist in developing project scopes and fee proposals
• Other duties as assigned
