Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a senior structural analyst to lead advanced structural analyses for aerospace components and systems in the New Glenn program. You will apply hand calculations and FEM to evaluate environments, optimize weight, and help ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight.

You will mentor junior analysts, develop analytical models, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver compliant, robust structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of material properties, failure mechanisms, and structural dynamics.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software; FEMAP required.
• Ability to lead projects and present results to a multi-disciplined team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct advanced structural analysis for aerospace components and systems.
• Lead project teams, manage deliverables, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Perform structural analyses using finite element analysis (FEA) and other methods on diverse designs and materials.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure accurate results and compliance.
• Develop and validate analytical models to simulate structural performance.
