Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced structural analyst to perform hand calculations and FEM analyses for the New Glenn program. You will support production, testing, and mission operations while guiding junior analysts and design engineers.

The role requires deep knowledge of structural methods, familiarity with Aero/space materials, and proficiency in multiple analysis tools. Excellent communication is essential in a collaborative, high‑stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related field.
• 8+ years in aircraft/spacecraft/launch vehicle structures.
• Experience with hand calculations and load derivations.
• Knowledge of materials and structural analysis methods.
• Proficiency with multiple analysis codes (e.g., Ansys, Nastran, Abaqus).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed hand calculations and FEM analyses of primary/secondary aerospace structures.
• Document stress analysis for release of drawings/documents.
• Provide structural analysis guidance to design engineers and junior analysts.
• Support production issues, testing, and mission operations.
• Develop and review analysis checks for designers and junior staff.
