Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking a Sr Structural Analyst for New Glenn Upper Stage Development. You will perform detailed hand calculations and Finite Element analyses of major structural subsystems, supporting design, manufacturing, and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
• Experience with analyzing and dispositioning non-conformances.
• Complete hand calculations including free-body diagrams for load derivation.
• Knowledge of engineering materials and their applications for optimal structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed hand calc and FEM analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures.
• Document stress analyses to support release of engineering drawings and documents.
• Provide technical guidance on design concepts (risk vs. cost vs. performance).
• Lead and review analyses by junior structural analysts and other team members.
• Develop process automation tools for model creation, strength checks, and report generation.
