Blue Origin is seeking a structural analyst to perform detailed hand calculations and FE analyses on New Glenn structures. You will document stress analyses to support drawing releases, develop prediction methods, and build models that support structural design. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate across teams to improve process automation and analysis capabilities.

Qualifications include a B.S. degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience, proficiency in

Qualifications

Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering and 3+ years related experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with one or more analysis codes, reading and manipulating input files.
High proficiency with FEA software such as FEMAP, Abaqus CAE or Hypermesh.
Extensive understanding of FEM modeling techniques and verification methods.
Experience with development and qualification testing and knowledge of aerospace structures.

Responsibilities

Detailed hand Calc and FE analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures.
Documentation of stress analysis to support release of engineering drawings.
Make predictions, implement test campaigns, and create reports for hardware qualifications.
Build system and detail level models supporting structural design.
Support other teams with inputs for configuration development and trade studies.
Mentor designers and junior analysts in stress and fracture analysis.
Improve enterprise analysis by crafting automation tools for model creation and reports.
