Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Principal Structural Analyst within the Lunar Permanence unit to analyze pumps, heat exchangers, valves, radiators, cold plates, LADs, and docking systems for lunar transport systems. You will lead structural integrity efforts, applying first principles, and coordinating with product teams to ensure high-quality analyses and designs for safe, reliable spaceflight.

You will perform modal, static, and fatigue analyses, support environmental testing, and present results

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in structural analysis with focus on modal, random vibration, static structural, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.
• Experience as Structural Integrity Lead or Analysis Lead.
• Strong understanding of analysis fundamentals from first principles.
• Excellent communication skills to convey status and results.
• Familiarity with Creo and FEA tools; GD&T per ASME Y14.5; environmental testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis of Thermal/Fluids and mechanical systems.
• Perform static structural, modal, random vibration, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align outcomes with project goals.
• Utilize 3D CAD modeling (Creo) and FEA tools for analyses and solutions.
• Prepare and present technical reports and analyses to stakeholders and customers.
