Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior structural analyst to join the Lunar Permanence team working on the Lunar Transportation system for crew and cargo. You will contribute to design validation, stress analysis, and verification alongside NASA and national partners.

The role requires extensive experience in FEM tools and aerospace structural analysis, with opportunities to influence safety-critical systems in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or physics.
• 12+ years structural analysis experience in aerospace, energy or transportation.
• Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods, hand calcs, in-house tools, and commercial tools.

Responsibilities

• Analysis from concept to drawing release of fluid and/or pressurized systems for Lunar spacecraft applications.
• Closed-form and Finite Element analyses development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
• Strength checks and analysis report generation.
• Test and verification plan and report generation.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Process and tool development.
