Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a senior Continuous Improvement Manager to lead cross-site CI activities, mold data-driven strategies, and coach teams in engineering, analytics and Lean methods. Travel up to 50% is expected as the role interfaces with multiple sites and customers.

You will shape strategy, supervise staff, and ensure delivery of dramatic improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth across Ryder operations.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management.
• Nine+ years in Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of CI engineering and quality professionals; manage performance and staffing decisions.
• Lead development and execution of strategy, scorecards, KPI action plans; report progress to leadership.
• Provide training and coaching to translate Ryder concepts to local sites; mentor teams.
• Develop competencies in engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; drive sustainment and results.
• Direct CI activities across customer accounts and guide lean implementations.
