Job summary

Thomson Reuters invites a Lead Engineer to join the CoCounsel Application Experience team, driving hands-on technical leadership across frontend and backend systems. You will own end-to-end development in React, TypeScript, and Python, shipping AI-powered capabilities while mentoring peers.

You’ll set technical standards, collaborate with product and design, and take ownership from development through production, ensuring scalable, high-impact customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on coding in the last 2–3 years.
• Experience with React/TypeScript and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack features across frontend and backend.
• Lead by example with code reviews and quality standards.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to shape requirements and APIs.
• Break down complex initiatives and provide reliable estimates for delivery.
• Mentor engineers through pairing and ongoing guidance.
