Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CoCounsel Applications team in a hands-on role building and evolving our external integration strategy leveraging MCP and A2A. You will design and deliver full-stack features across our frontend and backend systems, writing high-quality code and collaborating with product, design, and platform partners to ship customer-facing features.

Your work will span frontend and backend development with React, TypeScript, and Python,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend fundamentals.
• Backend experience in Python and APIs, plus familiarity with GenAI concepts and LLM orchestration.
• Ownership of features from design to production with sound technical decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack features across frontend and backend systems, including hands-on development in React, TypeScript and Python.
• Contribute to AI-powered capabilities such as agentic workflows and MCP/A2A-based tooling.
• Define APIs and work with product/design teams to deliver cohesive user experiences.
• Break down features into tasks, provide reliable estimates, and deliver through production with minimal oversight.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with teammates.
