Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the CoCounsel Applications team, driving full-stack features across React, TypeScript and Python, and advancing AI-powered capabilities such as agentic workflows and MCP/A2A tooling.

You will ship customer-facing features, collaborate with product and design, and own workstreams from design through production in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and Python stacks.
• Experience building APIs and services with Python; familiarity with GenAI concepts including prompt engineering or LLM orchestration.
• Ownership: track record of delivering features from design to production with minimal oversight.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Build End-to-End Solutions: design and implement full-stack features across frontend and backend systems using React, TypeScript and Python.
• Deliver Quality Software: apply best practices for code quality, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: partner with product, design, and backend teams to define APIs and deliver cohesive UX.
• Own Your Workstreams: break down features into tasks, provide estimates, and ship with minimal oversight.
• Share Knowledge: contribute to a culture of pairing, code reviews, and open technical discussion.
