Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CoCounsel Applications team. You will design and deliver end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems using React, TypeScript, and Python, with a focus on AI-powered capabilities and scalable integrations.

In this role, you will own workstreams, deliver high-quality code, and collaborate with product and design partners to ship customer-facing features.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Experience with React frontend and TypeScript, with solid frontend fundamentals.
• Experience building APIs/services with Python and familiarity with GenAI concepts (prompt engineering, agentic systems, or LLM orchestration).
• Exposure to MCP/A2A is a plus.
• Ownership: track record of delivering features from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full-stack features across frontend and backend systems with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Apply best practices for code quality, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to clarify requirements and define APIs.
• Break down features into well-scoped tasks with reliable estimates and production readiness.
• Share knowledge through code reviews and pair programming.
