Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Engineer for the CoCounsel Applications team to drive hands-on technical leadership across React, TypeScript, and Python stacks. You will own and deliver full-stack features and contribute to AI-powered capabilities like agentic workflows and MCP/A2A tooling.

You will set technical standards, collaborate with product and design to shape APIs, and mentor other engineers while delivering scalable, customer-facing solutions in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production web apps.
• Hands-on coding in the last 2-3 years.
• Frontend frameworks such as React; strong TypeScript knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across frontend and backend stacks.
• Establish and uphold code quality, performance, and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define APIs.
• Lead development from planning through production delivery.
• Mentor engineers through pairing and code reviews.
