Ashton North LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across simulation platform subsystems. This fully remote role offers autonomy and a chance to influence architecture and engineering practices.

You will guide architecture, deliver complex features, and safeguard the long-term health of the codebase, focusing on C++14+ and Windows/MFC development with ML applications to simulation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of desktop software development experience, preferably in simulation.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14+).
• Experience Windows UI development with Visual Studio 2019+ and MFC.
• Experience with XML/JSON serialization and ML applications to simulation.

Job Scope:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the core subsystems for simulation software platform. You will guide architectural decisions, champion modern engineering practices, lead the delivery of complex features, and safeguard the long-term health of the codebase. You will operate with significant autonomy and act as a trusted expert in your domain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in desktop software development, ideally from a simulation software background
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or later).
• Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI
• development.
• Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON)
• Applying ML to simulation
