Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a full-remote role to provide technical leadership across the core subsystems of a simulation software platform.

You will guide architectural decisions, champion modern engineering practices, and lead the delivery of complex features with autonomy. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of desktop software development experience, proficiency in modern C++ (C++14+), Windows UI with Visual Studio, and familiarity with MFC, XML/JSON

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in desktop software development.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or later).
• Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI development.
• Experience with object serialization (XML, JSON).

Requirements

• MODFLOW, MT3D or related contamination transport modeling
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or later).
• Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI
• development.
• Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
