Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for our simulation software platform. You will guide architectural decisions, champion modern engineering practices, and deliver complex features with significant autonomy across core subsystems.

The role requires strong C++14+ expertise, Windows UI development with MFC, and experience with XML/JSON serialization. Familiarity with MODFLOW/MT3D modeling is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 5+ years of desktop software development experience required.
• Experience with MODFLOW, MT3D or related contamination transport modeling.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or later).
• Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI development.
• Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (XML, JSON).
