Job summary

Bechtel is leading the SPL5 expansion project in Cameron, LA, with Bechtel coordinating groundworks, earthworks, roads, drainage and retaining wall construction as Lead Superintendent (Siteworks). The role supports preconstruction planning in Houston before long-term field assignment at Sabine Pass, LA.

We seek a candidate with a strong civil construction background, proven supervisory experience, and a deep commitment to ES&H and cost/schedule control to deliver complex infrastructure programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience, or 13 years in absence of a degree.
• Experience in civil construction on large projects; supervisory experience within civil discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for environmental, safety, health, injury/accident and fire prevention on the project.
• Inspect area for unsafe conditions, behaviors and practices and take corrective action.
• Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work behaviors and practices.
• Be the Champion for the ZERO Accident Program.
• Ensure design documents for Civil commodities are provided to craft personnel and changes approved before implementation.
• Responsible for 3-week look-ahead schedule and budget control with Field Engineering and Project Controls.
