Job summary

Bechtel is hiring a Superintendent (Siteworks) for the SPL5 expansion of the Sabine Pass LNG facility. The candidate will start in Houston, TX to support preconstruction planning, then relocate for a long-term assignment to the Sabine Pass, LA site.

You will direct all Siteworks activities, lead craft teams, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence. Responsibilities include coordinating with Field Engineers, Foremen, and crafts, managing 3-week look-ahead labor plans, and ensuring tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical discipline from an accredited university as well as a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience, or 6-9 years relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
• Knowledge of earthworks, ground improvement (soil stabilization, wick drains) and in-situ concrete works on infrastructure projects, and general construction work.
• Experience in civil construction on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
• Interprets Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Participates in the development of planning construction methods and in the preparation of construction drawings and sketches.
• Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material and equipment requirements.
